Join the SECURE team and work alongside skilled and driven employees who are passionate about what they do and helping customers succeed. Reporting into the Director, Total Rewards, this position will lead all aspects of SECURE’s benefits and savings programs including plan design, vendor relationship management, communications, processes and documentation, as well as analytics.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing SECURE’s benefit and savings plan design changes, annual renewals, and communications strategy
  • Developing strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure the effective delivery of services to plan participants
  • Leading the development of plan communications to increase knowledge and awareness of company benefits and savings plans in support of employee overall health and financial wellness across the organization
  • Providing advice and guidance on related market trends and best practices to enhance overall employee wellness
  • Ensuring the effective administration of benefit and savings plan services led by our Payroll and Benefits Administration team for a positive employee experience
  • Managing benefits and savings plan compliance, documentation, contracts, forms, and information for our Canadian and US operations
  • Providing advice and support within the disability management process led by our Occupational Health & Wellness team
  • Conducting analysis and providing reports and presentations on plan utilization, costs, and effectiveness
  • Participating in special projects as assigned within the broader function of the People & Culture team
  • Contributing to a positive culture within the HR team and organization
  • Periodic travel to project sites/other company offices as required

Qualifications/Competencies

The individual in this role will have:

  • 10+ years of experience in Canadian employee benefits and savings plan management (US benefits experience an asset).
  • Experience in compensation is ideal
  • Completed post-secondary education in Business with a focus on Human Resources or a related field
  • Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) designation, knowledgeable in government health care policies and associated reporting and compliance requirements
  • Excellence in managing and building successful partnerships with a large number of providers
  • Highly collaborative, ability to communicate openingly and proactively with stakeholders and supporting roles within the People & Culture team to ensure alignment and accountability
  • Proven ability to work on multiple projects and prioritize deadlines
  • Strong communication skills (written and oral) with the ability to interact with all levels of the business and develop clear, concise and meaningful communications
  • Ability to understand complex issues and communicate solutions effectively, professionally, and respectfully
  • Demonstrated ability to work with highly confidential information with sensitivity and discretion
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Self-starter with exceptional organizational skills
  • Strong aptitude to learn systems and technologies quickly
