Brief Summary Of Primary Duties:

  • Monitor and evaluate key production indicators, such as scrap, usage,

downtime, and machine performance and execute improvement plans.
« Maintain all process guidelines, such as Tl’s, SOP’s, and FOD’s, with all
current prescribed changes and ensure strict adherence.

  • Root cause analysis of process issues / product defects.
  • Maintain first-hand knowledge of daily performance of assigned

processes (i.e, spend high % of time on shop floor)

  • Evaluate and recommend new equipment for all phases of processing.
  • Commission all new equipment installed for manufacturing.
  • Seek ways to reduce manufacturing cost
  • Provide the Technological function with required assistance for

process and product development.

  • Provide 24/7 coverage as required on process related issues, (i.e. on


Specific Skills/Training Required

  • Outstanding ability to communicate (verbally and in writing) with shop floor

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access)

  • Ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Working knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, SCADA and SPC an asset

Education/Experience Required

BS degree Engineering, preferably Mechanical, Chemical/Polymer or Electrical

  • Two to four years experience in manufacturing environment ( in extrusion
