Donor Recognition

  • Support the design and implementation strategy for a creative, consistent, efficient, and donor-centric recognition programs
  • Ensure recognition activity is aligned with the donor benefit matrix; review matrix annually and recommend updates as needed. Routinely monitor and assess processes to improve procedures, tracking and reporting of donor giving histories
  • Support and enhance the ongoing development and implementation of a donor retention strategy for all donors to the Foundation
  • Support the Executive Director in the management of the inventory of recognition assets at Mount Sinai Hospital and Bridgepoint campuses
  • Compiles and maintains an inventory of existing stewardship and recognition commitments to ensure compliance with the donor recognition policies
  • With the Executive Director, coordinate special projects relating to recognition programs at the Hospital such as new digital installations
  • Liaise with vendors for design and fabrication of digital and physical recognition, and liaise with Hospital partners in installation
  • Support the Executive Director on all hospital related construction, wayfinding committees
  • Works collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders at the Foundation and Hospital on required recognition and stewardship initiatives
  • Develop annual recognition listings for print, website and digital installations and refresh listings throughout the year

Gift Implementation and Fund Management

  • Track gift deliverables in Raiser’s Edge (Sinai Health Foundation’s CRM) to ensure that all recognition and stewardship deliverables are recorded in a timely fashion, according to the Foundation’s business rules; develop reports to monitor implementation
  • Review funds to ensure purpose is documented and that donor’s gifts are allocated to funds aligned with their intent
  • Collaborate with Foundation Finance, Hospital Finance and other Hospital partners to administer funds and donations according to donor intent
  • Working with partners in Foundation Finance and Advancement, monitor fund balances to ensure funds are spent and reporting can be provided to donors
  • Coordinate annual endowment fund reporting process, ensuring the package is accurate and complete; coordinate the distribution process

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent professional experience
  • 3 years of experience in donor relations, preferably in the health care sector
  • Proven ability to effectively manage donor relations programming in a collaborative, customer-service oriented manner involving multiple stakeholders
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); extensive experience with Raiser’s Edge or another relational database, and an aptitude for data management and analysis
  • The ability to communicate clearly and effectively with diverse constituencies, meet deadlines, be self-motivated, and work independently
  • Ability to work with sensitive information with absolute discretion and a high degree of integrity and confidentiality
  • Accuracy, attention to detail and a customer service oriented attitude
  • Ability to work collaboratively and be a team player
  • Action-oriented; competency in problem solving
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities in a complex environment
  • This role will require some evening and weekend work around the installation of recognition assets
