The JVS Employment Source office, funded by MLTSD, provides a range of employment services (information and referral, one-on-one employment counselling, employment workshops, job development/placement services) to unemployed individuals of all ages, financial backgrounds and skills to help them gain employment within their field or a related field.We’re looking for someone who will:

  • Provide administrative support, including data entry into multiple platforms, editing and formatting reports, preparing and completing agency and government forms, filing of confidential documents, etc.
  • Share reception duties including providing timely customer service to all clients, employers and visitors in person and over the phone
  • Set up, maintain and file client records including EOIS CAMS, and assisting with program reports and financial reconciliation
  • Assist with organizing appointments, sending documentation, and supporting workshops and events
  • Conduct follow-up calls and data entry based on participation in one or more services
  • Update client information electronically and archive any physical files according to program needs and standards
  • Collect and organize documentation related to processing claims for financial training incentive and employment supports
  • Maintain office supplies and equipment, including front desk and R&I appearance
  • Work as part of a team to meet individual and program deadlines
  • Assist location staff with all administrative and other related duties

Flexible hours / evenings / weekends may be required for this position.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • High school diploma
  • 1-2 years of office administration experience
  • Strong organization skills; detail oriented
  • Effective time management and problem solving skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer literate; the ability to learn systems used by the agency (i.e. Salesforce)

Our ideal candidate will also have:

  • Employment Ontario knowledge and exposure
  • Demonstrated financial literacy skills
