Position Highlights:
The Insurance Division at ICBC has an Full-Time permanent opportunity for an Administrative Assistant – Confidential, reporting

to the Senior Director Insurance Operations and also supporting Senior Director Product & Customer Strategy. You are a

proactive individual with sound judgement and diplomacy who can anticipate needs and take action on a broad range of

administrative tasks. You will work as a member of the divisional Administrative team by providing assistance as needed, as

well as supporting overall divisional needs.

Specifically, your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing Directors calendars including resolving meeting conflicts by monitoring invitations and cancellations, ensuring time is

effectively used, and acting as the main contact point to the Directors and managers for all matters related to the operation of the


  • Provide general administrative support including the preparation of correspondence, reports, presentations, and statistics, often

of a sensitive and confidential nature, as well as anticipating and coordinating material for upcoming meetings.

  • Provide administrative support in HR related functions.
  • Monitor monthly expenditures against the approved budget and investigating variances across a range of organizational units.
  • Maintaining confidentiality and awareness of ICBC’s privacy practices are also required.
  • Manage potentially competing priorites and demonstrate the need to multi-task and prioritize work requests’
  • Display strong initiative and anticipate the needs of the busy directors, and their teams.

Position Requirements

  • You will have several years’ related experience along with demonstrated initiative, relationship building skills, organizational

skills, diplomacy, communication skills and the ability to respond quickly in a fast-paced work environment.

  • Comfortable working with technology, you will have superior skills in Outlook, Excel, Word, SharePoint, OneNote and

PowerPoint as well as the ability to work with video and teleconferencing equipment.

  • Knowledge of SAP would be an asset.
