Position

This role will support the sales of Parts & Accessories and Apparel & Licensing (licensed products) in Canada by analyzing market trends, segmentation, pricing and portfolio in order to optimize Harley-Davidson’s competitive positioning in Canada. This full-time position reports to the Manager, Product Sales for North America with a dotted line reporting to the Canadian National Sales Manager.

Key Deliverables

  • Serve as the primary central point of contact and subject matter expert for Canada for P&A and A&L. Acts as a resource for areas of the company that touch the dealer network for P&A and A&L.
  • Create wholesale sales plans for P&A and A&L and monitor on a daily, weekly, monthly basis to support the Supply, Demand, and Inventory (SD&I) process.
  • Monitor retail sales for P&A and A&L and provide insights and analytics to the field and product sales team.
  • Support Canada activities through the field sales operations team (Field Sales Managers, P&A Service and Customization Consultant) to support building dealer and staff capabilities.
  • Support the product knowledge, pricing, portfolio analysis, selling tool development, program plans and activities consistent with objectives.
  • Support P&A and A&L product programs and plans for wholesale & retail related activities including product forecasting, sales forecasting, training, technology, tools, and assimilation into management systems, benchmarking, and cross-departmental ambassadorship related to P&A and A&L activities.
  • Work with Sales, Marketing and future e-Commerce teams to synchronize and evolve existing retail technology plans to advance selling effectiveness.
  • Annual Dealer and Show target and setting – Parts & Accessories and Apparel & Licensed products

 


Job Requirements

  • This position requires a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience in forecasting, demand planning, sales.
  • Mandatory: Deep understanding of financial measures, forecasting and related analytical skills.
  • Exceptional written, presentation and oral communication skills. Proficiency in both English and French is highly preferred.
  • Welcoming and inclusive interpersonal skills with a strong aptitude for building successful consultative relationships.
  • Ability to collaborate within a team while exercising independent judgment and initiative.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed. Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and be flexible in working on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to determine urgency and act upon it in a meaningful and practical way.
  • Experience working in a global, matrix environment considered an asset.
  • Fully proficient in Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
