      • Job Purpose
        Oversees and/or participates in program/product execution, revisions and refreshes at
        retail, and helps resolve issues. Participates in installation activities in mass customer
        accounts in assigned territory as required. Maintains relationships with store
        management and supports Hallmark/retailer communication. Coordinates training of
        part-time service employees.Key Results and Operation Duties
        The following is a list of the operational duties and key results expected for the job. Activities with
        the greater time allocation are placed toward the top of the list. The tasks and time spent
        performing each task may vary as business needs require. Hallmark Canada maintains the right
        to modify job descriptions at its discretion.

        Key Operational Duties/Key Results (Maximum of 5)
        1

        Service Execution at Retail

        • Under direction of manager, assists in the implementation of rooftop level

        execution of all product programs.

        • Helps to ensure service is maximized and productivity standards are realized

        at all times. Includes ensuring Service Commitment Guidelines are followed by
        providing service coverage where vacancies exist or vacation/sick day
        coverage is needed.

        • Reviews expenses and other information with RMs to ensure adherence with

        assigned budgets.

        • Trains new and existing employees on merchandising processes and

        procedures.

        Revisions and Installations

        • Participates in and assists with department revisions, remerchandising,

        relocations and new store installations in assigned territory where required.

        • Partners with Territory Installation Manager to follow-up to ensure complete

        installations.

        Communication

        • Maintains ongoing scheduled/unscheduled communication with manager and

        territory colleagues to ensure current knowledge of upcoming programs and
        in-store activities.

        • Liaises with account management as Hallmark representative to identify any

        issues or opportunities and advises manager.

        • Builds/maintains strong working relationships with account level management.

         

        Equipment/Software Used:
        Smart Lync, phone, internet/e-mail, laptop and printer

        Good communication skills to gain, share and clarify instructions and job requirements,
        as well as to build rapport and resolve issues with customer account-level management.
        Information is detailed and specific.

        Limited innovation. Process improvement is inherent in the job.

         

        Level and Nature of Multiple Demands:
        Job priorities and schedules set by management. Flexibility is required to react to issues
        that arise on a job site that interfere with original priorities. Direction is available from
        manager.

        Some job pressure to complete work within the allotted hours and according to
        directives, maximizing selling opportunity.
        Level and Nature of Problem Solving:
        Collaborative problem-solving related to installation priorities and activities. Manager
        would be primary problem-solver.

         

        Level and Nature of Decision Making:
        Some decision-making related to store level problems/issues and priorities must be
        approached with a sense of urgency. Makes decisions related to own priorities in
        accordance with company guidelines and program schedules. Manager would be
        primary decision-maker.

         

        Physical Activity:
        Physical activity required to merchandise displays, handle inventory and assist with
        installation. Driving required to attend jobs in store. Lifts up to 50 lbs frequently.

        Sensory Attention:

        Attention to detail required to follow instructions.
        Working Conditions:
        Work is performed in retail environments. Infrequent work in construction environments.

        Work experience required: Retail service experience at retail required.
        Job related experience required: Experience in retail environment beneficial.
        Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently
        Microsoft word and excel experience.

        handling of product/fixtures to prevent injuries.
        Results-Oriented – Ability to understand priorities, timelines and desired outcomes, and
        act proactively to ensure goals are met.
