Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Supervisor, Warehouse Operations on permanent basis in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan at the Saskatoon Distribution Centre.

What you’ll do:

You will be responsible for leading a work unit of individuals performing day-to-day tasks, such as receiving, picking, loading, forklifting, and inventory control, within guidelines set by the Senior Supervisor, Warehouse Operations. You will be responsible for providing oversight and guidance to the team promoting a safe, sustainable, and efficient operation.

  • You will lead, direct and guide the Warehouse Operations in-scope team in the safe, efficient, and sustainable execution of all activities, with specific focus in the assigned area of responsibility, such as Stock Control, Receiving, Material Handling, Forklifting, and Shipping. You will closely monitor work performed to ensure execution of order fulfillment and will be responsible for reviewing productivity reports. You will make adjustments in workload planning for your area of responsibility and make recommendations with regards to daily labor requirements for completion of work.
  • You will support and participate in the execution and monitoring of innovative continuous improvement initiatives within the Warehouse. Monitors performance of activities in the value stream (receiving, put-away, picking, replenishment, shipping, etc.) through KPI’s, MBWA, team feedback, customer feedback, and others. Identifies areas to gain efficiencies within the assigned area of responsibility. This includes determining the root cause of performance deficiencies (low TPH, excess internal claims and damages, route close time, etc.), in the assigned area and developing and/or implementing corrective action plans for improvement and monitor performance.
  • You demonstrate a steadfast commitment to safety through demonstration of behavior, actions, discussions, decisions, risk management, and other opportunities daily. You promote the same expectation for safety throughout the Warehouse through both formal activities (attend safety meetings, toolbox meetings, warehouse inspections when available), and daily safety responsibilities. You promote an environment that fosters employee engagement through regular collaboration with Human Resources, the Warehouse Leadership team, and the Warehouse Employees, and demonstrate a culture of customer focus.

Who you are:

  • You have a Diploma in Business or Logistics.
  • You have a minimum of 6-9 years of progressively responsible experience preferably within the distribution industry (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
  • You’re familiar with Microsoft Office.
