We’re hiring solution-minded people excited to help us grow into the future. We are currently looking to fill two (2) term positions of Engineering Co-op Student.

Accountabilities:
We are looking for a highly motivated self-directed individual willing and able to work with limited supervision and in an active team environment. The Electrical Engineering Student is accountable to perform system studies and update operating guidelines for Control Centre Operations. This work will include:

  • Inventory all areas of team responsibility and compile in work package format.
  • Support Operations team in developing processes and tracking NERC/NPCC compliance.
  • Creation of tools templates i.e., process guides, activity reports, drawing updates, Fault Location documentation etc.
  • Develop Business Process documents for System Security, Outage Coordination, and Protection and Control modifications and maintenance.
  • You will be responsible for your personal safety and that of your co-workers by observing all Occupational Health and Safety Rules and Regulations.

General Responsibilities:

  • Ensures all work is carried out in a safe and effective manner.
  • Create and maintain a work environment based on mutual trust and respect with and among employees, peers, and management.
  • Perform work activities while maintaining a due diligence to ensure that corporate safety, environment and business practices, and standards are followed by co-workers, consultants, contractors, and the incumbent.
  • Provide technical support.
  • Perform studies and carry out new projects and upgrades to support the efficient and cost-effective operation of the company.

The incumbent will be required to provide their own CSA approved safety footwear when traveling to work sites. Additional safety wear and equipment will be provided as required.
Skills, Capabilities and Experience:
Minimum 2 years of Electrical Engineering degree program successfully completed. Working knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and other computer applications would be an asset.
