The Assistant Registrar provides crucial support to the administration of academic programs. Working in a team environment, this position will work closely with the Registrar’s Office staff, Academic Advisors, and other departments including Student Life, Admissions, and Finance. Reporting to the Registrar, this position will assist in the day-to-day operations of the Registrar’s office including responding to student inquiries, general office administrative duties, handling correspondence, maintaining student records and files, generating transcripts, compiling data into reports, and preparation of registration materials.


Maintain and update student files for the student information system
Administer the Extended Education Program
Preparation of the CMU Academic Calendar and Registration Guides
Generation of official documents: transcripts, parchments, letters
Responsible for Enrolment Data Reports for internal and external purposes
Website updates for the Academic Office
Classroom assignments for classes
Responding to student, faculty, and external inquiries
Responsible for minute taking at Academic and Program Council
Assist with logistics at convocation events
Other related duties as required


A commitment to the Christian church and CMU’s mission, purposes and programs
Bachelor’s degree required and experience in a post-secondary institution
Ability to establish and maintain effective and professional working relationships with faculty, staff, and students
Strong Microsoft Office and database knowledge and ability
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills with high attention to detail
Able to maintain effective working relationships with all departments and employees in a team-oriented environment
Self-initiating and able to work with minimal supervision
