Job Description


The Sales Enablement team at BlackBerry is looking for an experienced and engaging Sales Trainer to help our Cybersecurity Sales teams prevent cyber attacks. This is a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic and innovative trainer to own and facilitate strategic sales training programs to educate, empower and enable the growth of our cybersecurity business. Using a variety of delivery methods and training techniques, the Sales Trainer will conduct training programs across Sales teams and management levels, driving significant and measurable Sales productivity increases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver all Sales training and education programs across onboarding, upskilling and knowledge transfer, to the Sales teams in your region to ensure Sales teams are confident and consistent with the company’s go-to-market positioning
  • Working with the Sales Instructional Designer you will create and package new and enhance existing cybersecurity education programs as it relates to product, industry, or sales skills, and identify new information, best practices, case studies, etc. to maintain a Sales leading edge
  • Communicate regularly with our Sales teams and Sales leaders to gain insight to sales’ needs and apply those insights to the development and refinement of education programs and courses
  • Conduct skills gap analyses to identify areas and make recommendations where additional training is needed within the Sales teams
  • Design and implement follow-up and reinforcement activities to strengthen and maintain knowledge and skills
  • Evaluate and measure training effectiveness, using well-defined quantitative and qualitative success metrics, and adapt training as needed
  • Remain current on emerging technologies, methodologies, and enhancements to learning technology, develop and execute existing and new approaches to instructor-led, virtual and on-line training
  • Manage, coordinate, and provide logistical support for education programs, which may require out of office hours support
  • Maintain training records within the learning tools and systems for Sales individuals

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • University Degree or equivalent and minimum 5 years with a BS/BA or 3 years with MS/MA
  • 3-5 years experience conducting sales training for a tech company or for a sales team
  • 3 years+ cybersecurity/cloud security- related products and platforms or tech industry experience
  • 3-5 years program management experience, working cross-functionally to lead execution of programs
  • Excellent knowledge of learning development methodologies and effective training techniques to ensure maximum impact and audience engagement
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including strengths in meeting objectives through influence, facilitation, and team building
  • A passion for delivery and customer satisfaction, driven by the ability to see the ‘big picture’
  • Proactively build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders within a diverse organization
  • Ability to handle stressful situations with a level-headed approach and deliver consistent, quality work throughout busy periods
