BGIS, A Brookfield Company, is looking for a Receptionist to join our growing team! The Receptionist answers and transfers calls, takes and relays messages, greets and signs in visitors and provides other general clerical and administrative duties as required.


  • Answers and transfers incoming calls to appropriate individuals in a professional manner
  • Takes and relays messages to appropriate individuals
  • Greets, signs in and provides visitors with access badges. Notifies appropriate internal individuals about visitors’ arrival
  • Receives packages and notifies appropriate individuals of package arrivals
  • Assists with booking meeting rooms
  • Performs other administrative duties as assigned
  • Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM EDUCATION: High school education

JOB-RELATED EXPERIENCE: More than one year up to three years

Knowledge & Skills

  • High school diploma
  • Up to 3 years of job related work experience
  • Fully proficient at operating a multi-line phone system
  • Computer proficiency in MS Outlook, internet applications, along with the ability to quickly learn other software applications quickly (i.e. online meeting room booking tool)
  • Ability to exercise tact, courtesy, diplomacy and professionalism in interacting and communicating with others
  • Strong client-service orientation with a genuine interest in assisting others
  • Strong interpersonal skills
