This role sits within LBC Tech, Laurentian Bank Securities, Laurentian Bank, a subsidiary of Laurentian Bank Financial Group.
Reporting to the Senior Manager Production Support, Banking Technology, the Application Support Operator will be performing tasks to support Temenos T24 application banking software. The successful candidate will have experience in operating Financial Application systems in adherence with outlined standard processes and procedures.
º Performs tasks in support to application management, incident management and deployment management.
º Task Based administration of T24 and related server operations as required (COB running, monitoring, backup, restore, application restart and runbook related tasks).
º Provides first point of contact for escalation from Level 1 Support requests through the Bank’s ticket management system.
º Provide support on actions on tasks that can be resolved within expected time frame. Tasks that are more complex and take longer will be escalated to Application Support Analyst.
º Supports 24 / 7 production and non-production systems. Works off standard hours as part of team to provide daily weekday coverage and 24 hours on call availability.
º May be required to perform operations during critical demand periods, emergency situations, or scheduled maintenance windows.
º Provides for a smooth shift change by adequately transitioning all activities to the next shift.
º Operator and securing other areas of the facility when appropriate.
º Performs other related duties as required.
º University degree and 2 to 4 years of related work experience in a mainframe or mid-range computer environment OR College Diploma and 3 to 6 years of related work experience in a mainframe or mid-range computer environment
º Knowledge in specific computer operations environment is required.
º Experience in IT services and knowledge of AIX / Unix / Oracle software and other applications.
º Experience with ticketing systems (i.e. Serena / Jira / Service Now).
º Ability to organize and prioritize jobs to be processed.
º Ability to exercise sound judgment in performing job duties.
º Be flexible and receptive to change.
º Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
º Experience with Temenos T24 is highly required.
º Bilingual (English / French) communication skills are an asset.
