    • Full Job Description

      Responsibilities

      • Reviewing designs for large or small space robotics systems and performing analyses, such as safety/hazard analysis, reliability analysis, fault tree analysis, failure mode analysis, and/or life analysis.
      • Early identification of safety risks and mitigation planning.
      • Defining safety and reliability requirements, including safety controls, and ensuring they are fed into system designs.
      • Presenting at design reviews and NASA/CSA Safety Panels.
      • May include support to logistics and maintenance planning for large space systems.
      • Finding process improvements for increased quality, productivity, efficiency, and cost savings.

      Basic Qualifications

      • Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, or equivalent
      • Minimum of 5 years’ experience for MTS level, or 8+ years for Senior level
      • Knowledge of safety/hazard analysis and/or reliability fundamentals (including system-level failure rate and MTBF calculations, designing systems for high reliability, calculating reliability throughout a system’s life cycle with methods including Weibull analysis)
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and ability to learn new tools.
      • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
      • Highly motivated and enthusiastic, with a positive attitude.
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
