We are seeking a strategic and results driven General Manager for our client in the Electric Vehicle (EV)/energy infrastructure space. This full-time, permanent role will lead a team to drive long-term revenue growth by seeking new business opportunities, managing P&L and finances, and establishing business processes to support operations and growth. The ideal candidate will be an entrepreneurial minded, tenacious and curious person with a passion for innovation in EV/electrical infrastructure.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic direction to support operations and growth
  • Oversee the development of new business and build relationships with key external stakeholders through business development and project life cycles
  • Identify and develop partnerships for the business and prepare business cases
  • Make recommendations on growth opportunities for the business by conducting financial and commercial analyses of potential opportunities
  • Negotiate contracts and commercial arrangements for new business
  • Mitigate risks related to agreements, contracts, and commercial developments
  • Oversee various on-going construction projects and maintenance
  • Oversee the development of annual business and marketing plans
  • Develop and manage annual budgets
  • Develop strategic proposals while providing regular updates to the Board seeking feedback on key decisions
  • Provide leadership to the team

Qualifications and Experience

  • University Degree in Finance, Business, Engineering, or Economics
  • Masters degree in Business Administration is considered an asset
  • Minimum 10 years’ progressive experience in corporate strategy, business development, and implementing strategic plans in the energy or infrastructure space
  • Minimum 5 years of management experience leading a high performing team
  • Strong ability to identify business growth opportunities and execution
  • Experience negotiating large scale partnership agreements and contracts
  • Business focus with strong business acumen and financial aptitude
  • Commercial analysis experience with the ability to identify and mitigate risks
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast pace changing environment while effectively adapting to multiple changing priorities

Education and Certifications

Minimum education required:

Bachelor’s Degree
